Description
The Microtek ArtixScan F2 is a versatile dual-media flatbed scanner for photographers, studios and print professionals. It combines a legal-size reflective bed with a built-in transparency scanner, so one machine handles prints, documents, slides and film. With 4800 x 9600 dpi optical resolution, 48-bit colour and 4.2 Dmax optical density, it captures fine detail and smooth tones in both highlights and shadows.Auto-focus moves the CCD to find the best focus on the area you choose. This helps most with creased photos and uneven film. The patented E.D.I.T. (Emulsion Direct Imaging Technology) scans the film emulsion directly, without a glass plate in the way. That removes Newton rings and keeps dust, scratches and fingerprints to a minimum, which saves retouching time.The built-in transparency scanner has its own moving light source and scans film and transparencies up to 8" x 10". The included SnapTrans film holders take 35mm slides, 35mm filmstrips, 4" x 5" film and medium format film up to 6 x 17 cm panoramic. The 4" x 5" and medium format holders use spring-tension grips to keep film flat for sharper scans.
